Note about the test
A total of 18 different test criteria are tested and rated. The scores achieved are added together and converted into an overall score using an evaluation key. A maximum of 100 points can be achieved across all evaluation criteria.
The test procedure is based on clearly defined criteria that are consistently applied to every product under the same conditions. The products are tested and evaluated exclusively by experienced engineers who can ensure an independent, well-founded and precise assessment of all test criteria. The following evaluation table is based on our test procedure.

Summary
In testing, the GMGXX ozone generator OG-3 effectively neutralized unpleasant odors such as smoke, mold, and other airborne pollutants. To assess its performance under controlled conditions, artificial odor sources were placed in enclosed rooms ranging from 20 m² to 150 m². In the 20 m² test environment, the artificial odor sources were neutralized after approximately 20 minutes of operation. As is typical for ozone-based devices, a chlorine-like residual smell was initially present due to the oxidative reaction and by-products. After adequate ventilation this odor dissipated and the previously introduced artificial odor sources were no longer perceptible. However, the build quality of the device was rated only as satisfactory. A critical issue is the mechanical timer: it continues to count down regardless of the device’s power state, which may lead to imprecise or unclear timing of ozone exposure. Additionally, while the user manual does warn about ozone’s harmful effects on humans and animals, it lacks essential information on material compatibility and proper preparation of the room. Sensitive materials such as rubber or soft plastics, can degrade under ozone exposure. The build quality of the unit was rated only as satisfactory. Some design elements, such as the housing and controls, appear functional but not refined. Despite these points, the generator delivered fast and reproducible results in odor neutralization during testing and offers a very good price-performance ratio and remains a competitive choice among comparable ozone generators.
